Sangeeta is a Music Educator at the Vedic PG College, Mansarovar, Jaipur. She is also the Principal of the institution and has almost four hundred students for singing, dancing, and instruments training at the institute. She is herself a Classical Singer, who performs on Doordarshan and Akashvani FM.
Sangeeta was born in Indore, MP and after her marriage, she shifted to Jaipur. She is the daughter of musician parents and thus, she feels the love and attraction for Music running in her blood. She started formal music education at the age of nine. Thereafter, her parents used to take her to Singing competitions and numerous stage programs. At the age of fifteen, she started singing for Akashvani in the show named, ‘Yuvani’. After her eleventh, she chose Music and went on to do her BA, MA, M.Phil. and PhD. in Music. She is still a performer at Akashvani.
Sangeeta also runs her music institute known as Vasant Music Institute, which she opened on the insistence of her students. She is running her institute successfully with students from around the globe. She even had approximately sixty students learning music online during the Corona outburst.
Sangeeta is an accomplished artist who has earned numerous accolades including the Rotary Clubs and Lion Clubs Awards, Awards from Rajasthan Patrika, Gruh Maharashtra Parishad Award, among others. She has performed at Akashvani, Doordarshan, Rabindra Manch, and with prominent celebrities. All of this accounts for her achievements, as she shares.
Sangeeta strives to provide practical experience to her students and takes them to Akashvani and other studio or stage setups to give an experience of stage performance to them. She feels that students need patience and time to be good at music.
If given a Time Machine, Sangeeta would love to go back in time and become a Classical Singer and Stage Performer and perform all over India.
Sangeeta loves photography and gardening. During corona lockdowns, she planted many flowers and has almost eighty different types of flowers in her garden.
She only advises aspiring musicians to work hard and choose a good music teacher for guidance.
